Focus on Alessandro Cortini

Best known as a member of Nine Inch Nails, Alessandro Cortini’s solo live performances propel the audience into a whirlwind of intricately-rendered emotional dynamics, expertly pushing the limits of contemporary electronic music and extracting unabashedly human emotions out of synthesized noises. Focus on Hatis Noit

Hatis Noit presents the Canadian live debut performance of her much applauded album Aura. The name “Hatis Noit” itself is taken from Japanese folklore, meaning the stem of the lotus flower. The lotus represents the living world, while its root represents the spirit world, therefore Hatis Noit is what connects the two. For the artist, music represents the same netherworld with its ability to move and transport us to the other side; the past, a memory, our subconscious. The haunting tones of Aura invites the audience into these stirring, nostalgic soundscapes.
